Description

Stop Fighting With Clogged Tips, Dead Batteries, and 45-Minute Cleanups

This is the cordless paint sprayer people thought they were buying after watching YouTube demos.

• Uses your existing DeWalt 18V batteries
• No cords
• No compressor
• No frustration

Just fill it.
Pull the trigger.
Paint.

Why Most Paint Sprayers Waste Your Time

You bought a sprayer to save time.

Instead, you got:

• Constant clogs
• Endless cleanup
• Dead batteries mid-project
• Heavy tools that wreck your arms
• A finish that looks worse than a brush

So you gave up and went back to rolling.

Sound familiar?

The 5 Problems This Fixes

1. Constant clogging
Reversible tip clears blockages in seconds. Flip. Spray. Keep moving.

2. Cleanup nightmares
Four quick-release parts. Ten minutes. Done.

3. Batteries dying mid-job
Runs on DeWalt 18V batteries you already own. Over two hours per 5.0Ah.

4. Too heavy for real work
4.2 lbs without battery. Lighter than most drills.

5. Terrible finish quality
HVLP technology delivers smooth, even coats without runs.

Most Common Questions

DeWalt Compatible 18V Paint Sprayer

Q: Will this work with my existing DeWalt 18V batteries?
Yes — it's compatible with all DeWalt 18V/20V MAX DCB series slide-on lithium-ion batteries including DCB180, DCB181, DCB182, DCB200, DCB201, DCB203, DCB204, DCB205, DCB206, DCB207, DCB208 and DCB184. If your DeWalt drill, driver, or saw uses a slide-on 18V battery, it will fit this sprayer. Check your battery has the slide rail connection (not the older pod-style) before purchasing.

Q: Why doesn't it come with a battery?
Because most buyers already own DeWalt 18V tools and batteries — so you're not paying for hardware you don't need. The tool-only price keeps the cost down significantly. Any 18V DCB series battery you already own will power it straight out of the box.

Q: How long does the battery last per charge?
On a standard 2.0Ah DeWalt battery, expect around 20–30 minutes of continuous spraying. A 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah battery doubles that to 40–60 minutes — enough to spray an average fence, shed, or set of kitchen cabinets in one session. For larger jobs, keep a second charged battery to hand.

Q: What nozzle sizes does it come with and which do I use for what?
It comes with three nozzles — 1.0mm, 1.8mm, and 2.5mm. Use 1.0mm for thin liquids like varnish, wood stain, and lacquer. Use 1.8mm (pre-installed) for standard emulsion, fence paint, and acrylic. Use 2.5mm for thicker coatings like masonry paint and primers. When in doubt, start with 1.8mm.

Q: Do I need to thin my paint before using it?
For most standard emulsions and fence paints — no thinning needed. Thick masonry paint, gloss, or trade-grade high-build primer may need a small amount of water added (typically 5–10%) to flow correctly. Use the included viscosity cup if unsure: paint should drain through in 30–60 seconds. If it takes longer, thin slightly and retest.

Q: What spray patterns can I use?
Three patterns: horizontal, vertical, and circular (round). Use horizontal for walls and large flat surfaces. Use vertical for fences, doors, and skirting boards. Use circular for furniture legs, pipes, and awkward-shaped objects. Switch between them with a simple twist of the nozzle cap — no tools needed.

Q: How far away should I hold it from the surface?
Keep the gun 20–30cm (8–12 inches) from the surface for best results. Too close and you'll get runs and heavy spots. Too far and you'll get dry spray and uneven coverage. Do a quick test pass on cardboard before you start to confirm your distance and flow rate.

Q: Can I spray oil-based paints or solvents through it?
It's designed primarily for water-based paints — emulsions, acrylics, fence treatments, and varnishes. Avoid oil-based gloss and solvent-based coatings as these can damage the internal seals and motor over time. For oil-based work, an airless sprayer is the better tool.

Q: How do I clean it after use?
Empty any remaining paint from the cup, then fill with clean warm water and spray through until it runs clear — typically takes 2–3 minutes. For stubborn residue, disassemble the nozzle and cup and rinse individually. Clean it immediately after every use — dried paint in the nozzle is the number one cause of clogs and lost performance.

Q: Can I use it upside down or at an angle?
It works best held mostly upright (within about 45° of vertical). Spraying at steep angles or completely inverted can cause the paint to pool away from the pickup tube and starve the nozzle. For ceilings, tilt the gun at a shallow angle rather than pointing straight up.

Q: Is it suitable for a first-time user?
Yes — it's one of the more beginner-friendly options available. The adjustable flow control dial, three spray pattern options, and low-pressure HVLP system make it forgiving to use. Read the manual before you start (takes 5 minutes), do a test pass on cardboard, and you'll get clean results on your first job.

Q: The product says "tool only" — what exactly is included in the box?
You get: the sprayer body, 1,000ml paint cup, three nozzles (1.0mm, 1.8mm, 2.5mm), a cleaning needle, a cleaning brush, and a user manual. Battery and charger are not included. DeWalt 18V DCB series batteries are sold separately — available from all major tool retailers.

Absolute game changer on site

Done 4 full garden fences this weekend. What took me 3 hours with a brush took 40 minutes. Battery lasts ages and the finish is perfect. Already recommended to 3 lads on site.

Arrived fast and works brilliantly

Ordered Monday arrived Tuesday. Set up in minutes, instructions are clear and the spray pattern is spot on. Customer service replied within the hour when I had a question.

Common questions

Less than you think if you're using the right kit. Cheap airless sprayers can waste 20-30% through overspray, but a quality HEA (High Efficiency Airless) machine cuts that down to under 10%. The trick is tip selection—use a 310 tip for walls and you'll get tight, controlled spray with minimal waste. Over a full job, you're still saving time and money compared to brush and roller.
It takes longer than cutting in, no question. But spraying is 10x faster than brush and roller, so your total job time still drops massively. A room that takes 6 hours to roll? You'll mask it in 45 minutes and spray in 30. Once you've done a few jobs, your masking speed doubles and you'll wonder why you ever used a brush.
Under 10 minutes on a decent machine. The difference is in the design—look for tool-free tip removal and a proper flush-through system. Cheap sprayers with fiddly guards and no reverse-flush? You're looking at 45 minutes of scrubbing. Our quality unit rinses clean in the time it takes to wash your roller tray.
Not with a proper airless sprayer. Modern machines handle emulsion, satinwood, and even some masonry paints straight from the tin. HVLP guns need thinning, but airless systems are built to push thick coatings. Check your manual for viscosity limits, but nine times out of ten you're good to go as-is.
310 or 312 for walls and ceilings, 210 for trim and doors, 415 or 515 for exterior masonry. The first digit is spray width in inches, the second two are orifice size. Thicker paint needs a bigger orifice. Start with a 310 for interiors and you'll cover 90% of residential work.
Depends on the job. Single feature wall? Probably not. But if you're doing kitchens, new builds, or anything with repetitive surfaces like fencing or radiators, a sprayer pays for itself in 2-3 jobs. The real value is in speed and finish quality—once you've sprayed a full house in a day, you won't go back to rolling.
